A beauty contest for a supernatural beauty has been launched in Cameroon.  “We are looking for raw black African beauty queens, to promote in this competition. We are not training models, this is a beauty contest only”, Silver Ebile Managing Director of Isango Marketing and Entertainers and Service Agency, told journalists at a press conference over the weekend in Douala.

According to Sama Ndango, of Mora Moda Ltd, and main organiser, the quest for a beauty queen to represent Africa and Cameroon in particular, has been his desire, as a talent coach trainer. For two years, he has been fighting to obtain an international license for Africa can be represented at the yearly international beauty competition organised by the World Beauty Organisation (WBO).

This year, he stated further, his company was awarded the license to coach five African countries, amongst which include, South Africa, Angola, Nigeria and also Cameroon. In two months, 20 girls ranging within the ages of 18-20, measuring 1.72 M, will be selected through a series of casting, from the entire ten regions, and during the finals, only one amongst the five remaining contesters, will be selected to represent Cameroon at this year’s events in Poland.

Miss Supranational, he explained, ranges amongst the five world top class beauty names in the world. This year a face will be chosen, to represent their products, in the world.

Sama added that he hopes an African could be selected, and why not a Cameroonian.
The competition hold a cash prize for the winner which stands at $ 25.000 USD, $ 5.000 for the first runner-up, $3.000 for the second runner-up, $2.000 for the third runner-up, $1.000 for the fourth runner-up and jewellery worth, $10.000USD for all the five top contesters.

Speaking also during the press conference in his capacity as Littoral Regional Delegate for Culture; Mr. B. Roberts, assured the organisers of government support and collaboration.

He added that any opportunity to sell the country’s image internationally, in the area of culture, was welcomed by the State.
