The YCPDM Section President for Fako I, Isaac Inongo Dalle has lashed out at senior militants of the CPDM for wanting President Biya to go by not implementing his firm instructions to empower youths and give them positions of responsibility . Addressing militants in Limbe during Biya’s 26th anniversary last 6 November, Isaac Inongo Dalle said “despite the fact that we are now celebrating our president’s 26th anniversary and at the same time clamouring for him to take another presidential mandate ,there are some militants here who want Biya to go.
Surprisingly, some of them are very senior militants. Ask me who they are and how. The first set of such militants are those who don’t want to see the youths grow.
They are those who see the usefulness of the youths only when the youths are expected to run around registering voters, campaigning and working tirelessly to ensure victory for our party. What do they expect the youths to do during the other days which are not eventful?
Must the youths depend on the party’s largesse only on 11 February, 20 May and elections? How many of us seated here have thought of supporting the activities of the youths? The second set of people who want to see Biya go are those who use the party to win contracts and other favours, yet make very little or no contribution at all into party coffers or youths. These tightfisted militants often forget that whatever they have gained is thanks to the party which is the party in power.”
Isaac Inongo Dalle continued that on 21 July 2006, on the occasion of the 3rd extraordinary congress of the CPDM Party, Paul Biya said youths should be given special consideration. But unfortunately, that has not been the case, challenging the party hierarchy in Fako Division to manifest the Head of State’s wishes in Fako division.
Hear him “at this point in time, most of us are yet to see the benefits of belonging to the CPDM Party, so we can safely conclude that we are tactfully being excluded.
It is common to note that after election victories, the youths are always asked to be patient while others engage themselves in sharing the spoils. I believe the time has come for us to also be at the partitioning of the victory cake. We want to be taught how to fish, not to be given fish” he thundered.
He said at 35 years, President Biya was already holding a high office in the country and at 41 years he was already Prime Minister. As such the Head of State knows the value of youths and has spelled out in all his policy documents that youths must be actively engaged.
Unfortunately overzealous and selfish senior militants have undertaken to destroy the party and cause President Biya’s exit by disenfranchising the youth.
Meantime, the anniversary celebration in Limbe began with a solidarity march pass led by the presidents of the three wings of the party.
The Section President, Andrew Motanga Monjimba called on all militants to stay united and focus on the ideals of the New Deal and Biya’s pursuit of peace and social dialogue
WCPDM Section President, Honourable Rachel Lyonga said it was worthwhile recounting the benefits the Fako woman has benefited from the party, reason while he implored the women to thank the Head of State and continue to support him.
The CPDM Central Committee Member, Henry Njalla Quan pointed out that the party has come of age and needs evaluation.
The ceremony wrapped up with a motion of support addressed to the Chairman of the party Paul Biya. Views: 192 | Tell a Friend
