Tiko Young Stars Gets Set For Championship Tell a Friend
By Clextus Abong
Wednesday, 12 November 2008
With the season already launched in Ekona on Saturday November, 8th 2008 third division clubs in Fako are ready and anxiously waiting for an official publication of the fixtures in the days ahead. Amongst some of these clubs is Tiko Young Stars of President Peter Mbala who is the Founder of the club and doubles as one of the Vice Presidents of Tiko United playing in MTN Elite I Asked why Tiko Young Stars did not participate in the provincial second division championship last season, Mr Mbela Peter said the activities of the club were suspended in order to rally behind and give the necessary support to Tiko United to enable it stay in MTN Elite I. For this reason, the club was demoted to play in the third division League.

The objectives this year are to make sure that Tiko Young Stars qualifies for the provincial second division championship and later the national second division I.e. MTN Elite II.

It should be noted that Tiko Young Stars has as its sole sponsor the President Peter Mbala with little assistance from club executives and the population of Tiko. The president is therefore calling on all supporters to rally behind Tiko Young Stars. He promised them good football and brighter days ahead for the club.
