If the celebrations marking President Paul Biya 26th Anniversary accession to Power in Nguti especially within the ranks of the Kupe-Muanenguba II section of the Cameroon People Democratic Party, CPDM in Nguti, was a resounding success, then it is thanks to Professor Elvis Ngolle Ngolle, Minister of Forestry and Wildlife. The Honorable Minister gave the pomp and fanfare the celebrations deserved by extending his largesse to that section with FCFA 250,000 and party gadgets viz 150 party T-shirts and 50 caps.
This news accompanied by a thunderous applause and a standing ovation was made public by the Section President, Christopher Eladson Fotabong, at the Hill Top Hall full to capacity by both militants and sympathisers of the CPDM in the presence of the Mayor of Nguti Council, Georges Ayompe and the Divisional Officer for Nguti.
In his keynote address, the Section President, said, Kupe-Muanenguba II CPDM in Nguti, had every reason to celebrate President Paul Biya’s accession to the supreme magistracy due to the peace that reigns in the country.
He said, Biya, on November 6 1982, introduced the policy of Rigour and Moralisation, which he has persistently followed in his relentless effort in promoting the judicious management of state resources and in the fight against corruption and embezzlement of state funds.
This, he said, has begun through the creation of the audit bench of the Supreme Court, the National Anti-corruption commission, the National Agency for financial investigation and the launching of Operation Sparrow Hawk.
Christopher Fotabong said despite Biya’s efforts, in transforming Nguti for the past 26 years, the subdivision still encounters numerous problems: the electrification of Nguti, the grading of abandoned roads and opening of new ones to link villages especially farm-to-market, and above all the disenclavement of the area will go a long way to rapidly alleviate poverty in the area.
While Hailing Minister Ngolle Ngolle for always standing behind the section, he called on President Biya to reappoint him in his next cabinet. Earlier on the Mayor of Nguti, Georges Ayompe, in his welcome speech saluted the efforts of his people to have stood behind President Paul Biya. Views: 69 | Tell a Friend
