– Dr. George Elambo Nkeng, Director Of Public Works School
The authorities of the National Advanced School of Public Works in Yaounde say if there is any one professional institution in Cameroon where there is every effort to stay out of the corrupt practices that have become a tradition in the country, then it is the National Advanced School of Public Works in Yaounde. The management of that school, headed by Dr. George Elambo Nkeng, strives day-in day-out not only for a corruption-free handling of its human and material resources but also every effort is deployed to ensure that there is camaraderie and conviviality between students and teachers, while the success of students is held high at heart. The result, according to the Director, is that the school is making great strides and its graduates are excelling in any areas they are working. The revelation is contained in this exhilarating interview, which Elambo Nkeng granted Frank Garriba during the rare matriculation ceremony of his institution on 15 October. Excerpts.
